Here are some un-enhanced photos I’ve taken within the last few months as we traveled on the island of Luzon. There are many beautiful sites here, but as I understand it, there are other islands that are even more beautiful. I can’t wait for the chance to explore some more. Enjoy!

Already, 2014 has been a good year. By the help of God many things have been accomplished for God’s kingdom. Our annual conference was a success. The services were powerful and there were nine to receive the Holy Ghost. We thank God for pouring out his blessings once again.

We hope you enjoy the newsletters from the past few months. If you’ve missed any, you can click the links provided below.

Due to some complications in acquiring a permanent Visa we had to leave the Philippines before our one year anniversary was up. Pastor Howard felt it was a good time to visit family and friends as well as some of the churches in the States. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and feel blessed to be able to have made this much-needed trip. God is good!

Toward the end of the trip, however, all of us were missing “home.” The kids were asking about their toys and Sis. Short just couldn’t wait to return to the heat and humidity. Kidding, of course! This Colorado girl couldn’t get enough of the cold and enjoyed what little snow we could find. At any rate, living out of suitcases from place to place has a way of making you “homesick” when nothing else will!

I teach a Bible study to some men that live on this river. This lady is washing clothes the old fashioned way..

A few weeks ago we were in the coastline city of Lucena attending a baptismal in Tayabas Bay. It was beautiful weather and a beautiful view! After the baptism (you can read about that here) the young people and a few adults got in the water and had some fun. Carter especially enjoyed himself. He was throwing rocks and sea shells into the water for ever. I think he would have done it all day if we would have stayed there.

This Jellyfish is poisonous so they tell me. if the long things that hang down touch your skin, it will itch and burn pretty bad. I don’t know how bad…I didn’t test it.

Avalynn wasn’t too sure about all this water in one place!

Me and my “bud” walking to the van after Sunday service. Carter thinks he’s pretty big when he helps me carry my guitar. Well, I think he’s probably right but I don’t really want to think about that too much.

Today, Carter crawled up in my lap and said, “Daddy, are we best friends?” If he only knew what that did to “daddy’s” heart! Yet, while I want to be my boy’s best friend, I want even more to be the best dad a little boy could ever have..

I remember the first time I crawled into a tricycle. It was February 2012 during our first trip to the country of the Philippines. Since we were only staying for one month I wanted to experience many things and riding in a tricycle was one of them. I’ll never forget that ride.
